Information will be added as we practice various types of activities. You can read a little more about the activities we will be doing and I will provide necessary reading material and videos that you can check out on your spare time.
YogaWe try to particpate in yoga one day a week. This is taught by the teacher, a DVD and sometimes a guest instructor. Mats are provided.
Yoga is more than a series of postures and poses. It's about finding harmony with your body, mind and breathing, which can be a very powerful experience. It has many benefits: -Relaxation & stress reduction -Increased muscular strength and endurance -Increased flexibility -Helps with physical and medical conditions Weight LiftingMMS has a weight room that our class will utilize. There are machines for every muscle group. Students will be taught how to correctly use the machines and how to push their bodies to a safe limit. They will track their progress throughout the semester in their personal tracking sheets.

Run/walkWho would have thought there were so many options for walking? Click on the link for 14 different walking workouts. Try them with friends/family! There is something for everyone. We will be doing a variety of walking/running activities in attempt to build up our speed and endurance throughout the semester.

Circuit TrainingCircuit training is a great full-body workout. We will rotate through various exercises in attempt to hit every major muscle group. The girls will get to work with a partner to complete an exercise for a given period of time following a given period to rest and rotate to the next exercise.
